Meet Dale – Resident Spotlight

This month, we shine a light on Dale, one of the original residents of David’s House, who has called this community home since 1987. Known for his humor, being quick-witted, and telling jokes, Dale brings joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Dale has a passion for building old car kits in his free time, a hobby that highlights his creativity and attention to detail. When asked what his favorite car was, he quickly responds with the iconic Ford Mustang Cobra, a vehicle that holds a special place in his heart, evident in his excitement when he talks about it. When it comes to food, his favorite is cheesecake. Dale has a sweet spot for cheesecake, but also enjoys a hearty homemade chicken alfredo.

One of Dale’s favorite aspects of life at David’s House is the opportunity to meet new people and participate in the LEAP activities offered throughout the week. These activities allow him to experience new things and make lasting friendships. His favorite memory at David’s House is from recently when he attended the summer camp out. The residents roasted s’mores and created funny camp Mad Libs.

When Dale is not at David’s House, he loves to soak up the sun at the beach and enjoys fishing, where he finds peace and relaxation. Dale’s favorite film is “Dukes of Hazzard,” which never fails to bring a smile to his face. During football season, he proudly supports the Spartans, often wearing green and white–his favorite colors. He will be cheering them on in their upcoming game against Michigan.

Dale is a fun part of the David’s House community, and we are grateful to have him with us!
